Rules:

  • Entry to ladder is free to all members
  • Starting positions will be pulled from a hat.
  • Any newcomers to the ladder will be placed at the bottom.
  • The competition will start on 1st March 2024 until 15th September 2024.
  • All matches will be one frame only.
  • No 'rematch' within seven days but must be played within 14 days if a (re)challenge is levied
  • All matches will follow the standard rules of snooker (no miss rule applies in this competition).
  • Players will be allocated a handicap based on their ability in order to make the ladder competitive, and reviewed periodically to ensure fairness.
  • A contestant can challenge (challenger) another contestant (defender) who is up to three places above them.
  • Matches must be completed within ten days after the challenge is made. If the challenge is not accepted within two days by the defender, then the defender will forfeit the match.
  • If the challenger wins, they move above the defender. If the defender wins nothing happens.
  • Challenges must be made by phone, whattsapp, email or in person.
  • If you are part of an unresolved challenge, you may not challenge somebody else.
  • Winner must update the ladder board of any change and post a photo on the whattsapp group 
  • Any disputes in the results must be brought to the attention of the ladder administrator within 3 days of the results being published.
  • The Ladder administrator will update the website periodically.
  • High breaks (over 20) during ladder matches can be reported and will be published on the website. 
  • These rules are subject to change - they will change in response to problems that arise.
